READIP is a lightweight and portable rapid test reader and the ultimate tool for the qualitative analysis of Unisensor‘s dipstick tests. A laboratory in a small cube of only 4 cm sides. Use it on a truck or in the field. Wherever you need it! Price is 400 EUR!! ..
Tetrasensor is a competitive receptor-based assay in dipstick format detecting all Tetracycline compounds at or below the EU Maximum Residue Limit (MRL). This convenient dipstick format makes testing easy, accurate and economical.
The test can be used in-situ for daily checks or in laboratories for analysis of series of milk samples.
Tetracyclines are broad-spectrum antibiotics that are frequently used in veterinary and human medicine for the treatment of a wide variety of bacterial infections. In food producing animals such as cattle, Tetracyclines can be used at least in case of respiratory, urinary, and local infections. Tetracyclines can also be administrated by intramammary injection to treat bacterial mastitis of dairy lactating cows.
To prevent the emergence of tetracycline-resistant bacteria and any other potential harmful effects for consumer health, European regulation has established a maximum residual limit in milk (MRL) for all Tetracycline drugs at 100 µg/kg – ppb, underlining the need to monitor this antibiotic level in milk and other dairy products.
Sensitivity (ng/ml - ppb) | EU MRL | |
---|---|---|
Chlorotetracycline | 13-16 | 100 |
Doxycycline | 5-8 | 100 |
Methacycline | 10-13 | 100 |
Oxytetracycline | 15-20 | 100 |
Tetracycline* | 20-25 | 100 |
*Other Tetracyclines compounds detected at a lower concentration than Tetracycline: Minocycline, Demeclocycline, Sancycline, Amicycline, Meclocycline.
